Air Elemental

It's been a while since I uploaded anything so I thought I would put something up I completed the other day in my spare time after watching a pretty hectic thunderstorm.

It started out just as rough sketch, as in, really rough, drawing is not my forte - i.imgur.com/fVfaEHb.png

This was mostly just so I could think up additional ideas whilst laying it out, and I decided to have him coming out of a cloud vortex (to be honest I was kind of just thinking of Ragnaros from the Warcraft series) and that led me to sketch out just a quick cloud vortex thing - i.imgur.com/vEjpfSo.jpg

After I had the initial idea down, I went imagine hunting for sections I could compose together to get the look I was after.

Unfortunately I can't actually remember where I got the cloud texture from, so that's pretty erroneous on my part.



Anyway, it all came together like this. Who knew watching a thunderstorm was great motivation.
